Description
Tim Breaux Artist We have all seen photos and paintings of fall color but to be there when the leaves are falling is a completely different experience. For a brief time, the leaves begin to shimmer in the breeze and catch the light as they fall to the ground. The grass and tree trunks are all infused with the warmth of yellows and oranges from the aspen leaves hanging above and falling all around. The sky, so vivid blue and complimentary, is the only remnant that stands against the strength of the color.
I previously painted this scene on location in Endo Valley. The sensory overload of color and movement were almost overwhelming. There are some things that are impossible to capture on canvas. My goal with this painting was to trigger that memory for me and, hopefully, for the viewers.
